About Us
Friends of Zara Support Coordination
Friends of Zara is an NDIS Support Coordination service located on the Surf Coast of Victoria, created by a family who has lived the NDIS journey firsthand. While we are proudly based in the Surf Coast community, we support families both locally and across Australia.
Our daughter, Zara, taught us how complex, emotional, and overwhelming navigating the NDIS can be. Through supporting her, we learned how important the right supports, clear communication, and strong, trusted relationships are in creating positive outcomes for individuals and families.
Friends of Zara was created to offer other families the same level of care, understanding, and advocacy we built around our own daughter. Our approach is grounded in lived experience, honesty, and genuine connection, not just policy and process.
We walk alongside families, helping them feel informed, supported, and confident as they navigate the NDIS, wherever they are in Australia.
Who We Support
We support individuals and families at all stages of their NDIS journey, including:
- Children, teenagers, and adults with NDIS plans
- Families who are new to the NDIS
- Families feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or burnt out
- Participants transitioning between life stages (early years, school, adulthood)
- Families seeking more clarity, coordination, and support
We understand that every family’s situation is different. Our support is tailored, flexible, and centred around what matters most to you.
Why Friends of Zara
Friends of Zara exists because we know firsthand how challenging the NDIS can be for families.
We are not just professionals working in the system. We are parents who have lived it. We understand the emotional load, the uncertainty, and the importance of feeling truly supported rather than managed.
